Melanie is an Occupational Therapist with over 30 years working experience in the field of Hand injuries and rehabilitation of the Neurologically impaired upper limb.

 

Meet Melanie

Melanie has 32 years work experience as an Occupational Therapist. Initially in the Government sector, 7 years at Natalspruit hospital, followed by a self-owned private practice specializing in rehabilitation of the upper limb. She sold her Johannesburg based practice in 2020 to relocate to the Western Cape.

She has been an external examiner for Medunsa and Wits University, undertaken clinical supervision for under and post graduate students at Wits University and has served on the Exco of the South African Society of Hand Therapists.

Qualifications: BSc (OT)Wits 1991, Adv Dip (Neuro Science) Wits 1994, Dip (Hand Therapy) UP 2010.
