Splinting

The use of mouldable thermoplastic or neoprene material to make braces provides joint support, immobilisation for pain and tissue healing or to increase range of motion.

 

Pressure Garments

Elasticated material which is used to custom make pressure garments which reduce both swelling and scar formation as well as assist in the control of pain.

 

Exercise Programmes

  • Improve range of motion, improve muscle strength, or
    allow a graded return to normal hand use post-surgery

  • Manage pain in degenerative conditions

  • Allow graded return to normal hand function in the case of repetitive-strain injuries

  • Desensitisation of hypersensitive areas and sensory
    re-education following nerve injuries.
